Back in 2022, when Virat Kohli was going through one of the toughest phases of his career, Babar Azam took to social media to encourage him. Babar posted, “This too shall pass. Stay strong, Virat Kohli,” which Kohli acknowledged with gratitude. This gesture of solidarity came at a time when Kohli was struggling with low scores during India’s tour of England.
Kohli eventually bounced back, especially during the Asia Cup in 2022, where he found his form again. He scored an unbeaten knock of 82 runs off just 53 balls against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup, where he played a match-winning knock.
