Priyanka Chopra tied the knot with American music sensation Nick Jonas in 2018. The couple welcomed their daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas in 2022. PeeCee and Nick are one of the most celebrated couples in showbiz currently. However, there was a time when Priyanka opened up about the difficulties of finding balance in Nick’s place in Los Angeles and the cultural differences they faced.
Priyanka said that even though they both come from large families, their upbringing in terms of the culture they come from was quite different, and both of them had to learn and unlearn a few things in order to strike a balance.

During an old chat on the Read the Room podcast, she described how they both embraced each other’s cultures with love. Priyanka Chopra mentioned that Nick Jonas had a deep appreciation for Indian culture, while she grew up in the United States, making it her second home. They embraced each other’s cultures significantly, but it was the cultural differences that stood out the most to them.The Desi Girl discussed the cultural differences between her Indian family and Nick Jonas’s family. She explained that in her family, it’s common for people to speak over each other, a behavior she had to unlearn when interacting with the Jonas family. Conversely, Nick had to adapt to interrupting and speaking over others to be heard in her family. This adjustment was challenging for both, as Priyanka learned to wait for others to finish speaking, while Nick learned to assert himself in conversations.
Priyanka called this a big shift for her, even though she had spent a significant part of her teenage years in the US. Nick often visits Priyanka’s family in India. The duo was recently spotted enjoying the grand wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Mumbai.
