Recently, Kanwal Cheema took to her X handle (formerly Twitter) and clarified that she is a fan of Bollywood actress, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan after facing a huge amount of criticism. Kanwal also emphasised that she has never said that she doesn’t like Aishwarya. Instead, Kanwal mentioned that she doesn’t like being compared to the actress. In addition, she mentioned that she believes in uplifting other women and women’s empowerment. Kanwal wrote:

“I never said I don’t like Aishwarya, in fact, I’m a fan! I just said I don’t like being compared with her. She is a highly accomplished lady and it’s not fair to her to compare her with anybody either. I would rather be the best version of myself than be a copy of someone else.”
