In a recent podcast with Nikhil Kamath, Ranbir Kapoor opened up about his thoughts on PM Narendra Modi. When Nikhil asked him about his thoughts on politics, Ranbir said that while he doesn’t think much about it, he admires Prime Minister Modi a lot.

Ranbir said, “I don’t think much about politics. But all of us – actors and directors – went to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi 4 to 5 years back. You see him on television, you see how he talks – he’s a great orator. I remember the moment we were sitting and he walked in. There is a magnetic charm about himself. He came and he sat down. He spoke to each and every person about something so personal. My father was going to treatment at that time, so he asked me how’s the treatment going, what’s happening and all of that. He talked to Alia about something else, Vicky Kaushal about something else, Karan Johar about something and so on. Everything was very personal.”

Ranbir also said that this effort is something he has noticed in many great men. He added, “That kind of effort, you see in great men. They put that kind of effort- they don’t need to, but they do. Like Shah Rukh Khan. There are many such great men. It says a lot about them.”

Nikhil Kamath, also, shared a story about the PM. He said that he has had the privilege of being around him at a couple of events. “I respect him and I admire him. Once we were in the US, Washington DC and he would do a speaking session with us and a couple of American businessmen in a room, 8 AM in the morning. Then would go give a speech somewhere else at 11 am, he would then sit with the vice president at 1 pm. He would then do something at 4 pm, something else at 8 pm and something else at 11 pm. At 8 pm, I was tired. I was feeling sick after two days. He was then hgoing to Egypt to do the same thing all over again. This is his energy at his age. There’s a lot to learn from him,” Nikhil recalled.
