Sana Khan Breaks Down Talking About ‘Bigg Boss’ And Showbiz Journey: ‘Mai Kab Salwar Kameez Se..’

Sana Khan accepted the ‘hijab’ after her spiritual awakening, and for the first time, she talked about her showbiz journey, which is filled with many guilts.

Sana Khan rose to fame with her stint on the reality show Bigg Boss 6, where she was the runner-up. She had a successful acting career in the entertainment industry. However, in October 2020, she left the world in shock by announcing that she was no longer part of the industry. Since then, she has been openly talking about her spiritual awakening.

Sana Khan breaks down while talking about her showbiz journey during a chat with Rubina Dilaik

Recently, Rubina Dilaik called Sana Khan on her podcast, Kisi Ne Bataya Nahi, season 3. The show started on a positive note, and Sana shared how she has transformed and become a better human as dictated by her religious practice. The former actress talked about her transition from a glamorous actress to embracing hijab and her spiritual journey. Sana revealed that it was after Bigg Boss 6 that she got her holy book, Quran with it’s meaning to understand what her religion was telling her, and it helped her transform.

Sana revealed that while she was achieving a lot of fame, she wasn’t happy, and she started finding the reason behind it. She added that the pressure of the entertainment industry changed her, and she started going with the flow and forgot when, from salwar-kameez, she switched to backless. Sana got extremely emotional and broke down as tears started streaming down her face, recalling the person she had become. She said:

“I started questioning myself—why am I not happy? I did not even realise when my journey went from full sleeves to backless. Mujhe samajh nahi araha tha, ke main ek gharelu ladki, salwar kameez pehenke, tel lagakar college jane wali, when did I reach this shortcut and backless stage, I couldn’t understand.”

Sana also heaped praises on her husband, and revealed that he is an extremely nice person. She said that people laughed looking at his appearance when she announced her marriage, but he is a ‘diamond in the coal’, in Sana’s words. Sana added that he had unwavering support in her personal journey.

Sana Khan’s spiritual journey

Former television actress, Sana Khan is super busy as she embraced motherhood. It was in 2020 when Sana left showbiz and followed the path of spirituality. The same year, she said qubool hai to Anas Saiyad in an intimate wedding ceremony. After three years of marital bliss, Sana welcomed her first child on July 5, 2023. Recently, Sana shared the first-ever glimpse of her baby boy.

In an interview with The Times of India, Sana shared the details of meeting her hubby, Anas Saiyad. She said that they first met in Mecca in 2017. It was a brief meeting on the day she was returning to India. Anas was introduced to her as an Islamic scholar. She further shared that she contacted him towards the end of 2018, as she had some questions about religion. Then, after more than a year, they reconnected in 2020. He helped her learn more about her religion.
