SL vs IND: Gautam Gambhir Discloses The Step That He Will Take In The Indian Dressing Room
Gautam Gambhir has become the new Head Coach of the Indian Cricket Team. His tenure starts with the tour of Sri Lanka where India will play 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs. Gambhir comes to replace Rahul Dravid who signed off with a ICC T20 World Cup 2024 trophy. Gambhir has always been a feisty character, who always loves to win and stand up under pressure. He played some of the most important innings for India under pressure. He was influential in the 2007 T20 World Cup finals and the ODI World Cup 2023 final. Now, he will want to lead the Indian team to new heights as the Head Coach.
Gauti has led KKR to two IPL titles as a captain. He has served as the mentor of Lucknow Super giants and his team qualified for the playoffs in all occasions. Now, in 2024, he led KKR to an IPL title in his very first season as the mentor of KKR. Gauti has to to serve as the Head Coach of the Indian team in some of the most important events like the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, Border-Gavaskar Trophy, WTC final and the ICC Cricket World Cup 2027.
Now for success to come, the dressing room environment has to be good. India has had periods when the dressing room environment has been messed up with the involvement of some Head Coaches like Greg Chappell and Anil Kumble.

Gambhir, however, in a recent press-conference, ahead of leaving for Sri Lanka, has assured the fans that the dressing room environment will be good and all the players will be backed by him. He would keep things simple and he assured the fans that he is taking over a champion team.
Gautam Gambhir said, “The most important thing for me is players will always have my back. A happy dressing room is important. I don’t want to complicate things. I’m taking over a very successful team”.
