Today, Head Coach, Gautam Gambhir and Chief Selector, Ajit Agarkar, answered a number of questions in the press-conference before the Indian Cricket Team left for Sri Lanka. One of the main question that was asked was the reason behind Ruturaj Gaikwad’s snub from the T20I team.
Agarkar said that they wanted to experiment with their squad and give new players chances in the tour of Zimbabwe. The team wants a depth in the squad and also high quality bench players who can get into the first XI whenever a player faces injury or is out of form.
