This is how friendship grew between them, which later blossomed into love. She also mentioned that Shubham is like a ‘kintsugi’ for her, which means the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery. “From housemates, we became friends and we grew close during the tough pandemic times and then decided to be together ever since. His being part of my life has been like kintsugi. He is ‘The One’ is not a one-day feeling instead it’s my everyday feeling.”

Motivating millions of her fans who have been facing such a situation, she requested them to speak out with someone before doing anything fatal. Somya further recalled how during her pregnancy, there were frequent occasions on which she madly hunted for different ways to kill herself, all the while as she covered it with her bright smile. In her concluding statements, Somya mentioned how she could not fulfil her thoughts of committing suicide as at the end of the day, she was risking not one but two lives.

When Somya Seth talked about violence in her troubled marriage

Earlier, in an interview with The Times Of India, Somya Seth talked about suffering from domestic violence in her marriage with Arun and mentioned how she was completely bruised. Somya also revealed that she couldn’t look in the mirror for days. However, her thoughts of harming herself were brushed away when she thought she couldn’t harm her child. In her words:

“I remember this one time when I was standing in front of the mirror, unable to recognise my own self. I was completely bruised. I didn’t eat for several days even though I was pregnant. I couldn’t dare to look at the mirror for a few days and when I finally did, I just wanted to end my life. However, I was pregnant. And that’s when I felt that if I die my child would not know how much I love him/her. He would have to live without a mother for the rest of his life. I could kill myself but could never think of harming my own child. So yes, that’s how my son Ayden saved my life.”
