Alia Bhatt graced Karan Johar’s popular chat show Koffee with Karan’s latest season with her sister-in-law Kareena Kapoor Khan. During her appearance, she spoke about her relationship dynamics with her husband Ranbir Kapoor.

Alia and Ranbir are one of the most-talked-about celebrity couples in Bollywood. Alia expressed her fondness for Ranbir very early in her career but seems like Ranbir was also smitten by Alia much before they began dating.

During his joint appearance with Alia Bhatt on Koffee with Karan 7, Ranveer Singh revealed that Ranbir would joke about marrying her while she was shooting her debut film. A clip of the same has gone viral on Reddit. In the clip, Karan Johar said, “Ranbir was not even on your (Alia) radar. I remember it was a thing that people were saying that when Alia and Ranbir will work, they will start a relationship.”

Ranveer then asked Karan, “Didn’t he come on the sets of Student of the Year and joke with you, ‘Should I marry her? Should I marry her?’” Karan Johar confirmed this, leaving Alia in shock. Alia said that she was unaware of this exchange between Ranbir and Karan.

This clip has created quite a stir online since Ranbir was said to be dating Katrina Kaif back then. One person wrote, “This is false. Ranbir denied saying that during Shamshera promotions.” Another added, “KJo wouldn’t confirm if it was false, Ranbir probably had to deny it fearing backlash.” One person replied, “Na he (Ranbir) said it clearly that he would never say something like that because he was in a relationship at that time.” Another added, “This can be said anywhere there’s nothing wrong with this.”

Meanwhile, Ranbir is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Animal and Alia is busy shooting for Jigra.
