Throwback to the time when Abhishek Bachchan revealed how much he felt intimidated and terrified to just sit beside Aishwarya Rai in a flight.

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are undoubtedly the most-adored couples in Bollywood. Their unmatched chemistry, both on-screen and their real life is a prized treat for their fans, who leave no stone unturned to ship them together. For the unversed, the couple got married in a grand ceremony in 2007. Few years later, they welcomed their daughter, Aaradhya into their lives.

In one of his older interviews with Cosmopolitan, Abhishek Bachchan remarked how he felt intimidated just to sit beside Aishwarya Rai on a flight. For the unversed, back in that time, the two weren’t married and not even courting. They were mere co-stars who were travelling together on a flight for the shooting a sequence of their film,  Kuch Na Kaho. Abhishek narrated how he felt petrified and didn’t want to sit beside Aishwarya Rai. Explaining the reason, he had said:

“I was dreading this flight to Mauritius. We were going to shoot the title song Kuch Na Kaho. I said oh God please don’t let me sit next to her… She was right next to me and I said this is it, I am finished. The woman sleeps like a Miss World as well, I mean she sleeps perfectly (imitates her posture)… and she is out. I couldn’t sleep the entire flight because I was petrified that she was going to wake up in the middle of the night for some water and I was going to be like (imitates himself)…”

Off lately, rumours have been rife that everything hasn’t been smooth running between Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan. However, dismissing it all royally, back on April 20, 2024, the couple dropped identical pictures on their IG handles, featuring themselves along with their daughter, Aaradhya, as they celebrated 17 years of togetherness.

In one of her previous interviews with a leading daily, right after their wedding, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan revealed what she felt for the first time, when someone addressed her as Mrs. Bachchan. The former Miss World narrated that during their honeymoon flight to Bora Bora, she was unexpectedly greet by a stewardess with the surname of her husband. While the diva was slightly shocked at first, she later eased out over a hearty laughter with her hubby, Abhishek.

When Abhishek Bachchan spilled beans on his plans to work with Aishwarya again

In an earlier interview with Times Now, Abhishek Bachchan opened up about plans of reuniting with his wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on-screen again. The actor remarked that while he has no regrets for the kind of work he has done in his career, at the same time, he looks forward to work with his wifey again. In his words:

“I don’t regret doing any of the films I’ve done. I’ve always worked from my heart. That works for me. Very soon, I hope. I really enjoy working with her. We get a lot of fan mail asking us to be together again on screen. We’d be more than glad to get together.”
