Wedding filmer- Vishal Punjabi (Credits: Youtube)
Renowned celebrity wedding filmmaker Vishal Punjabi, also known as ‘The Wedding Filmer’, shared an explosive account of a high-profile Bollywood scandal. During an appearance on the DJ Simz YouTube channel, Punjabi recounted an incident involving a prominent Bollywood actor who was caught cheating on his wife just two months after their lavish wedding.
Punjabi, who has had an insider’s view of numerous celebrity weddings, described the turmoil that ensued when the actor’s wife discovered him in a compromising position with a Bollywood actress in his makeup van on a film set.
The wife, who walked in on the scene, was understandably devastated and immediately decided she no longer wanted the wedding film that Punjabi was contracted to produce.
This incident not only left Punjabi unpaid for his services but also prompted him to revise his business protocols. “Back then, my contract stipulated 50% payment before and 50% after delivering the film. After this fiasco, I decided to charge 100% upfront,” he explained. Despite the financial loss, Punjabi still possesses the footage, which he humorously suggested could be worth millions if sold as a comedy film.
He chose not to chase the pending payment. “In the film, the groom is crying, saying, ‘I love you, baby’. You know they’re fake crocodile tears. He’s a big Bollywood actor. Can’t take names, but damn… The value I have of that footage is worth millions. It’s a comedy film. I could sell it and make s**tloads of money,” he said, looking directly into the camera and adding, “You know who you are!”
Vishal Punjabi’s portfolio includes weddings of notable celebrities such as Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, and Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra. His insights offer a rare glimpse into the complexities of celebrity marriages and the often-hidden dramas that unfold away from the public eye.
