During his early days in the film industry, Gulshan Devaiah worked alongside Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh on the set of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’. It was here that Deepika and Ranveer, soon to welcome their first baby, fell in love. In a recent interview, the experience with the two stars was recalled by Gulshan, who praised Deepika’s professional attitude on set.
He noted that Deepika creates a comfortable environment for her co-stars while maintaining clear professional boundaries. Gulshan emphasised that Deepika’s blend of friendliness and professionalism impressed him, describing her as straightforward, approachable, and incredibly hardworking.
During the rapid-fire round, Gulshan admitted his bias towards Deepika, explaining that they both hail from the same city. He acknowledged his strong preference for her, stating that his admiration is partly because she is from Bengaluru, his own city. Gulshan added that he finds it hard to accept any negative comments about her.
In another interview, Gulshan discussed witnessing the love story between Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. Speaking with Bollywood Hungama, he recounted that no signs were apparent during the first schedule. However, during the second schedule in Udaipur, he was surprised to see Deepika sitting in Ranveer’s lap. Gulshan speculated that Ranveer had been smitten with Deepika from the start. While he couldn’t be certain, his recollection suggested that Ranveer must have pursued her with great determination.
