Salman Khan confirmed that he has broken two ribs, after fans showed concern following a public appearance recently, where he appeared to be in discomfort.

Actor Salman Khan, who sustained a rib injury recently, told the paparazzi at Thursday’s Bigg Boss event that two of his ribs are, in fact, broken. The actor recently attended a kids’ event, where his injury first became apparent. Salman was seen grabbing the side of his body regularly, and appeared to be having some difficulty sitting down and getting up. At the event, Amruta Fadnavis thanked Salman for not cancelling despite his injury.

On Thursday, the superstar attended a photoshoot for the upcoming season of Bigg Boss, where he told the gathered paparazzi that two of his ribs are broken. A video showed the actor making his way towards a vanity van, surrounded by a gaggle of photographers. Salman can be heard requesting the photographers to be careful and not crowd him too much. “Aaram se, do pasliyan tooti hain (Be careful, I have two broken ribs),” he can be heard saying, as he steps into the vanity van.

The comments section of the post was flooded with messages of positivity for the actor. “Get well soon Salman Bhai,” one person wrote. “Always the Bhai,” another person commented. Fans were also concerned when they first noticed that Salman was in pain last week. “It’s time Mr Salman Khan took his rib injury seriously. My prayers are for his early recovery,” one person had written. Another fan wrote, “Nothing is more important than health…take care Salman sir.”

Salman is gearing up for the 18th season of the reality show Bigg Boss, which he has hosted for a decade and a half. The show will most likely premiere in a few weeks. He was last seen in the film Tiger 3, which under-performed at the box office, grossing Rs 466 crore worldwide against a budget of Rs 300 crore, and in the Prime Video documentary series Angry Young Men, about his father Salim Khan’s partnership with Javed Akhtar. He is currently shooting for director AR Murugadoss’ Sikandar.
