However, being a celebrity couple, they often find themselves the target of trolls, who criticise Ranbir for allegedly not giving enough attention to Alia, especially when he is around his family.
Recently, Alia addressed these perceptions, emphasising that people don’t give enough credit to Ranbir’s caring and loving side.
A fan page recently shared a video from Raj Kapoor’s 100th birth anniversary celebration that highlighted Ranbir’s affectionate gestures towards Alia during the event.

Interestingly, Alia herself liked the post, subtly supporting the sentiment expressed.
Earlier, Ranbir Kapoor was trolled online after a Vogue video of Alia went viral in which she mentioned that Ranbir would ask her to “wipe off” her lipstick because he preferred her natural lip colour. This statement led to intense scrutiny of their relationship.

Ranbir addressed this controversy during an interaction with Hindustan Times and while speaking to fans. He clarified his stance, saying, “Recently, I was reading an article about being toxic and something relating to some statement I made, and I understand. Listen, I am on your side.
Whatever you are fighting against this toxic masculinity, I am on the side of people who are fighting for it. So, if they want to use me as a face, I am fine because their fight is bigger than just me feeling bad about them having an opinion on what I said,” Ranbir said. He added that he looks at a larger picture and doesn’t feel bad for himself as he believes he has “lots to feel grateful about”.
