According to a report in the Free Press Journal, the former NCB officer, Sameer Wankhede filed a plea in court against the ongoing case on him. For the unversed, CBI has filed a case against the former NCB officer for taking a bribe of Rs. 25 crores for not framing Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan in drug case. Along with the plea, he has even attached a series of screenshots containing his and Shah Rukh Khan’s chats from the time when Aryan was in jail. In the chats, the Bollywood superstar requested the former NCB officer not to let his son be in jail. In one of the messages, Bollywood’s badshaah can be seen begging Sameer to spare his son. In his words:

“I beg you man please don’t let him be in that jail. These holidays will come and he will break as a human being. His spirit will be destroyed because of some vested people. You promised you will reform my child not put him in a place where he may come out completely battered and broken. And it’s no fault of his. But please send my son home. You also know in your heart it’s been a bit too harsh for him by now. Please please I beg you as a father. I beg you please have mercy in me and my family.”

In another message, Shah Rukh can be seen making a father-to-father request to Sameer and asking him not to break his heart. In the alleged chats, the actor also thanked the former NCB officer for trying to help him. Shah Rukh also stated that Aryan is not involved in the drug case and all he needs is reformations. The chats can be read as:

“Please don’t break our heart today my man. Please. It’s a father to father request I love my children just like you do yours and exterior forces cannot be allowed to cloud a father to father feeling please. I am a kind and gentle person Sameer please don’t let my faith break in you and the svstem. Please it will shatter us as a family. my son is not part of that please. You also know that. You know his part is minuscule in it. All he needs is reformation and for that he has had his quota and I will also follow suit with what we talked in terms of making him a better person.”

When CBI booked Sameer Wankhede for taking Rs. 25 crore bribe

Earlier, CBI had filed an FIR against the former NCB officer, Sameer Wankhede for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs. 25 crore for not framing Shah Rukh’s son, Aryan in the drug case. Moreover, a search operation was carried out at 29 locations across Delhi, Mumbai, Ranchi and Kanpur against Sameer and four others. The official also revealed that they got information about Sameer and four others who had taken Rs. 50 lakhs in advance.

For the unversed, it was on October 3, 2021, when Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s son, Aryan Khan got arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau. The NCB had raided a party on a Goa-bound cruise ship, and it was alleged that Aryan was booked for the consumption of drugs. After 26 days, on October 28, 2021, Aryan was granted bail by the Bombay High Court due to lack of evidence.
