Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan have become a pro in handling such situations as often people troll their personal lives.

Junior B, Abhishek Bachchan and ex-Miss World, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, after a formal proposal in New York, went to Mumbai and had gotten officially engaged on January 14, 2007, at the Bachchan’s residence. The duo had tied the knot on April 20, 2007, and in the year 2011, they had entered the parenthood league by welcoming a beautiful baby girl, whom they had named, Aaradhya Bachchan. Despite being a star couple, the two always show their husband-wife life to be as of a common couple, making people fan of them even more.

It was in 2016 during the promotions of Aishwarya’s film, Sarbjit, when Abhishek had told the reporters, ‘Aap inki (Aishwarya) photo lo’ and Aish had rushed off the stage, following her husband. This statement of Abhishek had raised the rumours of separation and divorce between the couple. However, later, in an interview with Deccan Chronicle, Abhishek had clarified the rumours and had said that he is not going to allow a third party to dictate their life. He had said, “I know what the truth is and I know how far to take the media seriously. I am not going to allow a third party to dictate to me and Aishwarya how we should lead our lives. She knows how much I love her and I know how much she loves me.”

He had further shared that these rumours are not an issue for him. He had added, “If you are going to misinterpret something for your own convenience, then go ahead. I am a public figure after all. And I cannot make the media happy all the time. My marriage and my life are not going to be dictated by what the media says. So it’s really not an issue for me.” Well, that is true! Abhishek and Aishwarya should be the one making decisions and this was a perfect reply!

Earlier, we had gotten a throwback video of The Kapil Sharma Show, when Aishwarya was there to promote her film, Sarbjit. The actress had looked gorgeous in an off-white printed outfit with a golden border. In the video, we could see Kapil asking Ash if she and Abhishek have small fights as well? To which, she had replied, “Yes it happens.” Kapil had then further asked her, “Who is the one who apologises first?” On this, Aishwarya had started laughing, and Navjot Singh Sidhu had interrupted adding that what kind of question is this? It is obvious that Abhishek would be the one who must be saying sorry first. On this Aish had quickly responded, “No. I am the one who apologises first and finishes the topic.”

While Kapil Sharma’s show is all about fun and humour, people sitting behind the keyboards on social media don’t understand the thin line between humour and troll and often end up trolling Aishwarya’s darling husband, Abhishek. However, Abhishek leaves no chance to slam such trollers with epic and witty replies. In an interview with SpotboyE, Aishwarya had talked about Abhishek’s encounter with the trolls. She had said, “Abhishek does what he has to do or what he feels like doing… to each his own. There have been instances where he has been silent for years and made a choice to remain silent and then once a while he decides to engage and then he does. There is no telling if he will or if he won’t, it is a matter of at that time.”

New Delhi: It seems all is not well between power couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Their relationship status has been making headlines for quite some time.  Now, Abhishek’s latest social media activity has added fuel to the fire. The actor liked a post on Instagram that talked about divorce. The post in question addresses the topic “Why love stops being easy.” It added, “Couples who have been married for long are now parting ways. What has prompted their decision and why are grey divorces on the rise?” The side note read, “Divorce is never easy for anyone. Who doesn’t dream of a happily ever after or envision recreating those heartwarming videos of elderly couples holding hands as they cross the street?”

The post stated, “Yet, sometimes life doesn’t unfold as we hoped. But how do people cope when they separate after decades together, after spending a significant portion of their lives relying on each other for both big and small things? What drives them to sever ties, and what challenges do they face? This story delves into these questions. Coincidentally, ‘grey divorces’ or ‘silver splitters’—terms for those seeking marital dissolution typically after age 50—are on the rise globally. The reasons, though varied, are not surprising.” Meanwhile, the couple have neither denied nor accepted the divorce rumours.

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai got married in 2007. The grand wedding was hosted at Abhishek’s father, megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s Juhu bungalow named Prateeksha. The couple welcomed their first child — Aaradhya — in November 2011.

On their 17th wedding anniversary this year in April, Aishwarya picked a throwback picture from their wedding album. The photo is from their engagement ceremony. We can only see their hands here. The actress didn’t spend much time thinking about the caption and simply dropped a handful of emojis.
