Mohammed Shami is one of the best fast bowlers in the world.
He is currently out of action but will return to cricket in the Test series against Bangladesh. Shami suffered an ankle injury during the 2023 World Cup and underwent surgery after the tournament ended.
The right-arm pacer hasn’t played cricket since then. He recently made an appearance on Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast and spoke about bowling to Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in the nets.
‘They don’t like to face me in the nets. Rohit never bats in front of me. Virat Kohli gets irritated the moment I dismiss him twice. Virat and I like to compete in the practice sessions. We both like challenges. He plays good shots on my deliveries, and I am looking to get him out,” Mohammed Shami said.
Shami said that Virat retired from the T20Is at the right time. “Virat made the right decision, as winning the T20 World Cup was a big moment. I want to have such a moment in my life,’ he added.
