Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have been impressive as players and captains. Although Kohli failed to win an ICC title as a skipper, he won several bilateral series. Rohit led India to success in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in the West Indies.
Amit Mishra, who has played with Kohli and Sharma, lauded the latter.
“Rohit Sharma hasn’t changed. From our first meeting to the recent conversations, he is still the same. Virat has changed a lot. With power and captaincy, he became a different person. We hardly spoke after he became famous,” Amit Mishra said on Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast.
Virat and Rohit announced retirement from T20Is after the recent edition of the T20 World Cup. Sharma was one of the top performers for the Men in Blue.
Kohli’s best performance came against South Africa in the final. He was named the Player of the Match for helping India in winning the title.
They are likely to be rested from the upcoming three-match ODI series in Sri Lanka.
