Gaga has consistently refuted claims of plastic surgery, but her candid acknowledgment of other enhancements has sparked accusations of hypocrisy, especially in light of her advocacy for self-acceptance.

Lady Gaga Is Rumored To Have Undergone Plastic Surgery

Amid her era marked by Born This Way, Lady Gaga dispelled plastic surgery rumors in a 2011 interview conducted by Harper’s Bazaar.

Gaga said (via Longevita):

“I have never had plastic surgery, and there are many pop singers who have. I think that promoting insecurity in the form of plastic surgery is infinitely more harmful than an artistic expression related to body modification.”

Nonetheless, those rumors concerning plastic surgery persisted, with the most notable one suggesting that Gaga had undergone a nose job. “No, I love my Italian nose,” she added.

Nevertheless, Gaga openly acknowledged her use of fillers. In a 2013 conversation with Howard Stern, she candidly confessed to receiving Juvederm, a dermal filler commonly used for enhancing cheeks, lips, and the perioral region. This was seen as contradictory by many, considering that Gaga had consistently preached a message of self-acceptance to her devoted fanbase, known as “little monsters.“

Lady Gaga experienced extreme stress and exhaustion from perpetually accepting every project that came her way, eventually leading her to decide to say “no.” When she initially uttered that two-letter word, she discovered the significant power it wielded.
