The coach is selected after a careful review of all the applications and then personal interviews and assessments of the selected candidates are done.

“The selection process will include a thorough review of applications, followed by personal interviews and assessments of shortlisted candidates,” a BCCI release said.

The candidate must feature in at least 30 test matches or 50 ODI matches or he should have served as a coach of a full member test playing country for a minimum of two years or coach of an Associate member/IPL team or equivalent/First Class teams/National A teams for a minimum of three years or should have a BCCI Level 3 Certification.
The candidate should be less than 60 years old.

The Head Coach will have to answer back to stakeholders in fans, broadcasters, media and national teams (external) and BCCI officials, BCCI CEO and the Men’s Senior Selection Committee (internal).
