In his podcast with Shubhankar Mishra, Mohammad Shami had this to say to those making memes on his rumoured wedding with Sania Mirza

Some days back, we heard that Sania Mirza and Mohammad Shami might tie the knot soon. The viral news spread after someone made an edited pic and posted it on social media. As the news spread, her father Imran Mirza said that there is no truth in the same. He said it is baseless rubbish, and his daughter does not even know Mohammad Shami. In his recent interview, Shami has spoken about the matter. He was in a podcast with Shubhankar Mishra. When the host asked him about it, he sharply said that people have no sense of decorum on social media.

Shami said the meme culture is humorous for millions but people should not drag the personal lives of others. He said individuals fight a lot of issues, and it is no reason for entertainment. Mohammad Shami said people who make such content hide behind unverified accounts. He said he would challenge someone to do this kind of mischief from a verified official account. He said it is weird that people enjoy this kind of content. Both Mohammad Shami and Sania Mirza are parents to young children. While his daughter Aaira is almost ten, Izhaan is a few years younger.

The host also asked Shami if he missed out on having the perfect family life. He said that some things are beyond one’s control. He said he is trying to make the best out of the situation. As of now, he has no plans to re-marry. Mohammad Shami is devoted to serving the Indian cricket team. Sania Mirza too has come back to India from Dubai with son Izhaan. Her father said they divorced some months back on Khula basis. He made the revelation after the sudden and shocking marriage of Shoaib Malik and Sana Javed. The new couple have been trolled by both Indians and Pakistanis. This is his third marriage.
