Deepika Padukone who is gearing up for the next exciting stage in her life is all set to become a mother to her first child along with husband Ranveer Singh. Her recent box office collection is now once again confirming her as a box office queen.
The actress made her staggering debut with Shah Rukh Khan’s Om Shanti Om and has continued to reign over the box office ever since. Her follow-up releases like Bachna Ae Haseeno, Love Aaj Kal, and Kartik Calling Kartik weren’t just hit during their theatrical releases but are also classic even today.
Currently, the global box office collections of the last 4 films are unprecedented. Her recent successes have solidified her status as the reigning queen of the box office. Led by debut co-star Shah Rukh Khan Pathaan amassed ₹1050 crore, meanwhile, the follow up film Jawan in the same year brought in ₹1148 crore.
She was also seen alongside Hrithik Roshan in Fighter in a leading role. The film garnered ₹339 crore at the box office marking her next big release. On the other hand, her last release has also broken many records. Led by Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone, Kalki 2898 AD added a remarkably massive number to her box office tally. The film collected a staggering 1150 crores.
The cumulative figures of these films are about 3680+ crores within just a span of two years. Meanwhile, Kalki’s box office collection continues to grow. A recent report revealed that Deepika has turned down an international project to focus on her soon-to-be-born baby. The actress has not confirmed the same but, if she might take a break from the big screen, it won’t be for long. She still has a big release waiting to hit the screens.
Deepika Padukone has joined Rohit Shetty’s cop universe and will be seen in Singham Again. She will be seen playing the role of ACP Shakti Shetty Bhalerao aka Lady Singham. While the solo film has not been revealed yet, it was talked by the makers on several occasions.
