Jaya Bachchan straightaway refused to watch her son, Abhishek Bachchan’s new web series, ‘Breathe: Into The Shadows 2’. Read on to know why!

Jaya Bachchan Bluntly Refuses To Watch Son, Abhishek Bachchan's New Web Series, Here's Why

Abhishek Bachchan has been doing wonders in the second innings of his career. He is undoubtedly one of the underrated actors of our generation, who needs to get appreciated for his beautiful contribution to Indian cinema.

He started his career in 2000, but only recently did Junior Bachchan grab the much-awaited limelight for his stellar performances in movies like Ludo, Dasvi, Bob Biswas and The Big Bull.

Amid this, his father, Amitabh Bachchan, was the one who was seen beaming with pride. From calling Abhishek his uttaradhikari to promoting his films on social media, Amitabh has been the proudest daddy because of Junior Bachchan.

However, in a recent media interaction, Abhishek revealed that his mother, Jaya Bachchan refused to watch his upcoming web series, Breathe: Into The Shadows 2.

In a recent interview with India Today Conclave, Abhishek Bachchan mentioned that the whole Bachchan family is gearing up for his action-packed web series, Breathe: Into The Shadows 2, except for his doting mom, Jaya. He stated that Jaya doesn’t like thrill, violence and aggression in films, so she tries to avoid such content. In his words:

“The true testimony that we have made a good thriller is that my mother refuses to watch it. She was like ‘nahi mujhe ye sab nahi dekhna hai (I do not want to watch all this), she gets scared. My family will wait till midnight of November 8 to watch it, barring my mother. My mother prefers to go and watch something else. She doesn’t like that kind of aggression and violence. So she prefers to go to parliament where none of that happens.”

Earlier, in a conversation with the Hindustan Times, Abhishek Bachchan had shared why he sometimes feels bad for his parents.

The doting son had stated that, coming from a family of superstars, he always had the pressure to perform well. However, his parents, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan had to step back from praising their son in public as people often consider it biased behaviour. He had said:

“He is just like any other father of course. We tend to forget that my parents at the end of the day are also parents. I feel bad for them sometimes. They say they felt… I know my father has, he told me that he wants to reserve his comments about what he feels at times because he doesn’t want people to misunderstand and say ‘you are just being biased. It was very touching of him to say what he did. It made me very emotional and thankful.”
