Vivek Oberoi’s Meme On Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Made Husband, Abhishek Bachchan Furious?

The power of words is mighter than the sword, but if used in a wrong way, it can bleed the hands it’s written by! And an exactly similar incident happened with Vivek Oberoi.

Vivek Oberoi's Meme On Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Made Husband, Abhishek Bachchan Furious?

In the world of instant clicks, we often ignore the power of one emotionless tweet that can hurt many sentiments.

But, looks like Bollywood actor, Vivek Oberoi is still haunted by the ghosts of pasts that he forgot to re-think his tweet before hitting the ‘Tweet’ button.

Yes, the actor continues to make headlines of every leading tabloid (congratulations to him) but for all the wrong reasons.

It all started when a couple of days ago, he took to his Twitter handle to post a meme on the world beauty, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s personal life which had featured Salman Khan, and Abhishek Bachchan.

However, he had deleted it after receiving a huge criticism and apologised for it. But, as we say, ‘Once the damage is done, it’s done, you cannot reciprocate it’.

And while the entire B-town has come in support of Aishwarya, the actress stays unaffected and continued to slay at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival.

However, Vivek’s apology wasn’t enough for Aishwarya’s husband and actor, Abhishek Bachchan. According to a report by The Times of India, Aishwarya came to know about the tweet when she was at the Cannes and she was left baffled.

However, she didn’t put much focus on it thinking it to be another publicity stunt for Vivek’s upcoming movie, PM Narendra Modi. Probably, hubby, Abhishek was in no mood to take it lightly and let it go.

He got so furious that he was about to retaliate when Aishwarya calmed him down and convinced him not to react.

Coming back to Vivek’s tweet which has been labeled as ‘disgusting and classless’ by actress, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, and many other celebrities, he deleted it the moment he received the backlash.

The actor went on to apologise for the same, and his tweet could be read as, “Sometimes what appears to be funny and harmless at first glance to one, may not be so to others.

I have spent the last 10 years empowering more than 2000 underprivileged girls, I cant even think of being disrespectful to any woman ever.” He further added, “Even if one woman is offended by my reply to the meme, it calls for remedial action. Apologies, tweet deleted.”

For those who don’t know, Vivek reportedly dated Aishwarya in the early 2000s, but they soon parted ways on a bitter note.

And after six years, he had finally opened up about his breakup on Farah Khan’s show, Tere Mere Beech Mein, wherein, he had confessed how he held the infamous press conference against Salman Khan to please Aishwarya.

On this Farah had asked him,

“Lekin jinke liye aapne yeh sab kiya unhone kabhi bhi aapo thank you bola? Appreciate hua?”

To which Vivek answered, “Nahi huya! Ulta yeh hua ki ‘tum bahut immature ho’.

Badme ye hogaya tha ki ‘tumhe ye nahi karna chahiye tha’.”

However, after his episode got aired, a friend of Aishwarya got into touch with The Times of India, and had opened up about Aishwarya’s perspective, and had stated,

“Vivek said on a talk show on Sunday that he had held the infamous press conference against Salman to please Aishwarya. Let me tell you, Aishwarya wasn’t even aware that he was going to hold the press conference. When she got to know about it, she was horrified. Vivek is an adult and he should take responsibility for his actions. Why blame Aishwarya if his career didn’t take off.”
