Rakul Preet Singh was one of the hottest actresses a few years ago. But after SPYder, her career went downhill. She got some relief with De De Pyaar De in Hindi but it was limited.

This year, Rakul married Jackky Bhagnani, who owns the production company Pooja Entertainments. Unfortunately, the company faced a major setback with the release of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, resulting in losses amounting to 250 crores.

Reports surfaced that Jackky and his father, Vashu Bhagnani, went bankrupt and struggled to pay their crew, staff, and employees involved in the film.

Then came Indian 2 last week which turned out to be the first disaster in director Shankar’s career. Rakul Preet Singh had a forgettable role in that film which didn’t last more than 10 minutes of screen time. But if the film had succeeded, she would have got some relief.

The biggest shock came with the arrest of Rakul’s brother, Aman Preet Singh, in a cocaine drug bust case. The Telangana Anti-Narcotics Department seized 2.6 kg of cocaine worth 2 crores in Hyderabad. Aman tested positive for cocaine use, adding to the family’s troubles.

Rakul was previously summoned by the Enforcement Directorate in a drug-related money laundering case and questioned by the NCB in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide and drug case a few years ago.
