Pankaj Tripathi, celebrated for his versatile performances, recently shared his insights on dealing with box office outcomes. Known for his nuanced portrayals and dedication to his roles, Pankaj Tripathi’s latest film, ‘Main Atal Hoon’, a biopic on Atal Bihari Vajpayee, didn’t achieve the expected success at the box office. However, Tripathi remains unfazed by the numbers, demonstrating a commendable perspective on his work and the industry.
In a conversation with News18, he opened up about his approach to acting and how he handles the unpredictable nature of box office results.
When asked if box office failures disappoint him, he replied, “Not at all”.
He shared that when he puts in his 100 percent during the shoot and stays true to his craft, why should he feel bad? “I understand the box office business. Fortunately, all the films I have done, whether or not they were box office successes, have managed to return money to the producers. I know the math,” shared Pankaj Tripathi.
This pragmatic view highlights his focus on delivering authentic performances rather than getting caught up in the commercial success of his films. This mindset is what sets him apart in an industry often driven by box office numbers.
‘Main Atal Hoon’ follows the remarkable life and political career of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a towering figure in Indian politics. It delves into the diverse facets of Vajpayee Ji’s persona, portraying him not only as a statesman but also capturing his essence as a poet and a gentleman. The movie was released in January this year.
Most recently, Pankaj Tripathi was seen in ‘Mirzapur 3,’ and next on his plate is ‘Stree 2,’ a much-anticipated sequel of a horror-comedy. Starring Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Shraddha Kapoor, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee in the lead, the movie will have Varun Dhawan in a cameo appearance and Tamanna Bhatia in a special song. It will hit the big screens on August 15, 2024.
