Salman Khan has begun filming his highly-anticipated movie Sikandar, a project produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by AR Murugadoss. The production kicked off in Mumbai, on Tuesday, where the team will shoot an ambitious mid-air action sequence featuring the Dabangg star. Taking to their Instagram handles, both Salman and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment shared a behind-the-scenes image on social media, marking the start of their ambitious venture. In the BTS picture, Salman, Sajid, and Murugadoss are seen sharing a laugh on set. “The Sikandar Trio! Straight from the sets of the film!” they captioned the post.
The BTS photo has got fans excited who their expressed happiness in the comment section below post. “Abb ayega na maja..excited,” wrote a fan while others, waiting for the next update with bated breath, commented, “Ek action promo se announcement bhi kr dijiye log aaplog please.”
The team also confirmed that this action-packed entertainer is slated for an Eid 2025 release. In March, Sajid announced this highly-anticipated with Salman on Sikandar, followed by the news confirming Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. Salman had also tweeted, “Glad to join forces with the exceptionally talented, @ARMurugadoss and my friend, #SajidNadiadwala for a very exciting film !! This collaboration is special, and I look forward to this journey with your love and blessings. Releasing EID 2025. @NGEMovies @WardaNadiadwala.” His post an X (formerly Twitter) featured a collage of the trio.
Sikandar reunites Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala following their 2014 Eid blockbuster, Kick. The film is set out to be a pan-India action entertainer. In April, Salman also took to his social media handles to announce the film. Sharing his announcement, he wrote, “Iss Eid ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ aur ‘Maidaan’ ko dekho aur agli Eid Sikandar se aa kar milo…. Wish u all Eid Mubarak! #SajidNadiadwala Presents #Sikandar.
