Shah Rukh Khan edits every single film he shoots and acts in; the amount of work he does is insane: Wedding Filmer

Celebrity wedding photographer Vishal Punjabi aka Wedding Filmer opened up about working with Shah Rukh Khan for a decade.

Besides being a superstar, Shah Rukh Khan has also been a mentor to many in the film industry. One of them is celebrity wedding photographer Vishal Punjabi, known for his company Wedding Filmer. In a recent interaction, Vishal opened up about working with Shah Rukh for a decade when he first entered the industry.

Vishal came to India from London after writing a letter to SRK, expressing his wish to work with him. The actor later invited Vishal to design a website, which would be a Bollywood portal. This opportunity led to Vishal joining Shah Rukh’s production company, Red Chillies Entertainment. Speaking about his first impression of Shah Rukh, he told DJ Simz, “He was a lot smaller than I thought he would be. You imagine him to be bigger, but he was a little smaller, though very enigmatic and charming. When I first saw him, I was like, ‘Is that it?’ because you expect him to be bigger.”

During his time working with Shah Rukh, Vishal learned a great deal about cinema. “He was a really good mentor to have. He guided me very well and taught me everything about cinema. I worked for him for 10 years before I started my own company,” he said.

Vishal also revealed that Shah Rukh edits every film he works on. He said, “Shah Rukh is one of the best editors I have worked with. He edits every single film he shoots and acts in. He sits with the editor and goes through every scene. It’s insane the amount of work he does.”

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in Sujoy Ghosh’s The King. The film also stars his daughter, Suhana Khan, in the lead role.
